Who is this training for?

This course is intended for:

• Electricians and technicians working in ATEX environments
• Maintenance staff responsible for explosion-proof installations
• Engineers or technical managers selecting and installing ATEX equipment

Participants should already have basic knowledge of ATEX principles (Level 1 or equivalent experience).

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

Legal and preventive measures:

• ATEX directives and EU regulations
• Employer responsibilities
• Classification of ATEX zones
• Compliance of existing installations

Working in ATEX zones:

• Safe use of mobile tools and equipment
• Work preparation, PPE, and gas detection
• Intervention rules and best practices

ATEX equipment:

• Marking, certification, and selection
• Protection modes (Ex “d”, “e”, “i”, “t”, etc.)
• Assembly and maintenance rules
• Motor-specific considerations
• Hands-on exercises with inspection and maintenance

Certification

Participants who pass the final assessment receive the ISM-ATEX Level 2 certificate, issued by INERIS, a notified body for ATEX certification.
